In the current Rental Agreement, the Renter is the person renting the Vehicle specified in the Agreement (hereinafter referred to as the Vehicle) from the Rental Company S.C.R Simply Car Rentals LTD (hereinafter referred to as the Company).
Simply Rental Cars is operated by S.C.R Simply Car Rentals LTD, a company incorporated under the Law of Cyprus, with Company Reg.No: HE 385496 and its registered address at 28 Nicolaou & Zavos Building, 3rd floor, office 302, Limassol 3100, Cyprus

Definitions, Substance of the Agreement and Object of Regulation.
The following abbreviations and definitions are used hereinafter in the Agreement:
The Terms and Conditions – the present standard terms or conditions of rent of the Vehicle which are the basis for rent and use of the Vehicle;
The Company – the company stated on the front page of the Agreement;
The Renter – the person stated on the front page of the Agreement, who received the Vehicle for use from the Car Hire Company according to the present Agreement;
The Agreement – the rental agreement concluded between the Company and the Renter, which consists of the present Terms and Conditions and the special terms and conditions stated on the front page;
The Vehicle – the vehicle and all its documents, tools, fittings, components, standard equipment (including jack, spare tyre, etc), extra equipment (including GPS system, baby seat, child booster, etc.) whether mechanical or otherwise, stated on the front page of the Agreement, the right of use of which belongs to the Company, and which the Company provides to the for use according to the Agreement.
The present Terms and Conditions establish the rights and obligations of the renter during the use of the Vehicle. The renter is aware and acknowledges that the Vehicle belongs to the Car Hire Company, and the renter does not have any power to transfer the rights and /or obligations accepted by him or her by conclusion of the Agreement to third persons (among other, for transfer of the right to the Vehicle). Rent or transfer of the Vehicle to third persons is not permitted. The Company allows the renter to use the Vehicle in accordance with the present Terms and Conditions.
The Company makes the present Terms and Conditions available to the renter for the full duration of the Agreement. By signature of the Agreement or by renting a car via the website, the renter confirms that has read, understood and agree with the present Terms and Conditions and undertakes to comply with them.
The Agreement is concluded for use of one Vehicle during the period stated in the Agreement and until the return of the Vehicle into direct possession of the Company ("the rental period”). Provisions of the Terms and Conditions do not become invalid following return of the Vehicle, if the renter substance wish to extend the rental period.
The Terms & Conditions and any document expressly referred to in them and any guidelines or rules posted on the Website form an integral part of these Terms and Conditions and shall have effect as set out in the full body of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Cyprus.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Drivers Requirements & Age Restrictions
1.1. All National or International driving licenses are accepted as long as is written in English or in Latin characters.
1.2. A valid driver’s license is requested during the time of pick up. The driver’s age must be 25 – 70 years old. All drivers under 25 years old must possess a driving license with minimum 3 years of experience. Drivers aged 25 years and upwards only need to have held a license for a minimum of one year.
1.3. For drivers under the age of 25 years old and drivers over the age of 70 years old an EXTRA INSURANCE is required. The renter must purchase the SENIOR/MINOR DRIVERS insurance at the cost of 7.00 € per day/per driver for all car groups during pick up time at our rental desks.
1.4. The drivers must show a valid ID card or passport, valid driving licence and credit card at time of pick up.
1.5. On behalf of the company our representatives have the right to decide whether a customer is able to control the vehicle and refuse to provide a car rental service.
1.6. All additional drivers of the vehicle and their names and details must appear on the rental agreement and agree with our Terms and Conditions.
2. Pricing & Payments
2.1.All vehicle daily rate are in Euros and includes:
- Third Party Insurance;
- Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W) with Excess;
- Theft protection (TP);
- Local taxes;
- Maintenance, oil and greasing;
- 24-hour Customer Support;
- Change a car in case of breakdown (within 24 hours time frame).
* Please note that the rental car may be substituted with a similar vehicle (transmission, No of doors). We are unable to guarantee a particular make and/or model of vehicle.
- Free delivery and collection in Limassol town.
2.2. Not included in the daily rate:
- Additional Damage Waiver (ADW);
- Extra Damage Waiver (EDW);
- Roadside Assistance (RSA);
- Fuel charges;
- Parking fees;
- Traffic fines;
- Additional driver charges;
- Minor/Senior driver’s charges;
- Optional extras, i.e. child seats, ski racks, etc.;
2.3. Any additional extras requested are payable at our rentals desk during pick up, excluding online prepaid reservations. (See paragraph 4. for details)
2.4. Payment methods accepted: All major credit cards. Cash is accepted only for additional equipment, services charges and fees, requested after the delivery date and time. For online reservation we do not accept prepaid cards or vouchers.
2.5. All Renters during the time of pick up receive a rental agreement with a detailed breakdown of all charges and Terms & Conditions of the Company.
2.5. The Rental Agreement is valid once signed by the Renter and the Company, from and until the date stated upon this agreement and compliant with our Terms and Conditions.
2.6. All Renters are liable for fines and courts costs occur during the rental period.
2.7. The driver is fully liable for all traffic fines or speeding tickets incurred during the rental period. The driver is responsible to pay to the accustomed authority or at our rental desk during the time of drop off. An administration fee of 40 € will apply for any fine or ticket payable at the rental desk.
2.8. One day rental is available only at the offices and is subject to surcharges as followed:
a). High Season (1 April - 31 October) - surcharge equal to 50% of the daily rental fee for categories A and B;
b). Low Season (1 November - 31 March) - surcharge equal to 50% of the daily rental fee for categories A and B;
2.9. For reservations through the website, the minimum length is 48 hours.

3. Protection Packages & Limitations
We offer a several Protection packages to ensure your safe and pleasant rental. Please consult our representatives for any further information regarding the Protection packages you may need.
3.1. Basic Protection Package(BPP):
All our vehicles are rented with included in the daily rate the following:
A. Collisions Damage Waiver (CDW) - Provides cover against repair costs relating to our vehicle in the event of any damage occurring. CDW policies exclude windscreen & tire repairs/replacements, as well as undercarriage, roof, interior, window and side mirror damages. In case of accident or issues with the vehicle please contact us instantly via phone. If the renter fails to do so, he will be held responsible for any issues that arise. An excess responsibility applies to all drivers according to each car group respectively.

B. Theft Protection (TP) - Theft Protection or TP reduces your legal responsibility in the event of thievery or damages caused due to attempted theft or theft of the vehicle. Any sort of negligence associated with the theft of the rented vehicle could lead to the Company wanting the complete amount or cost of the rented vehicle. With TP included, the renter's liability is reduced to an amount ranging from €2.200 to €4.500, depending on the car group rented. 3.2. Optional Protection Packages (OPP)
To increase your coverage and to reduce significantly your excess liability in case of accident or issues with the vehicle, we offer the following Protection Packages:
A. Additional Damage Waiver (ADW)
Additional Damage Waiver (ADW) will cover you in the event of a destroyed tyre, a smashed or cracked windscreen or damage to the oil sump of the vehicle.
Will reduce your excess for damage to the above if A.D.W is acquired for the amount of:
a.) 10.00 € per day for categories A and B (optional);
b.) 15.00 € per day for category C/D/L (optional).

B. Extra Damage Waiver (EDW)
Provides cover against undercarriage, roof, interior, window and side mirror damages. Reduce your excess for damage to the above if it’s acquired for the amount of:
a.) 8.00 € per day for categories A and B (optional);
b.) 10.00 € per day for category C/D/L (optional).

C. Full Protection Package (FPP)
Full Protection Package (FPP) includes Additional Damage Waiver (ADW), Extra Damage Waiver (EDW) and RoadSide Assistance (RSA) and reduces the excess liability to 4000.00€:
a.) 20.00 € per day for categories A and B (optional);
b.) 30.00 € per day for category C/D/L (optional).

D. RoadSide Assistance (RSA)
The RoadSide Assistance (RSA) do not reduce your excess liability, but provides Emergency road service, towing, winching jump start, flat tire change, lockout service emergency, fuel delivery etc. You can purchase RoadSide Assistance (RSA) for the daily amount of 7.00 € per day for all categories

3.3. Excess Liability
An excess responsibility applies to all vehicles according to each car group respectively. An excess policy of 900.00 Euros to 5000.00 Euros (dependent on group and model) are payable by the Renter only if it is the Renter’s fault in case of an accident/damage resulting during the rental period.
With purchasing of any or all of the Optional Protection Packages (OPP) the renter increases their coverage and reduces significantly the liability in case of accident or issues with the vehicle.
By renting a car from the Company through the website or at the local offices, the Renter agrees to the following excess surcharges:

Any insurance is considered VOID and the driver is not covered by any of the above if the vehicle is driven on the occupied side of the Republic of Cyprus with, driven under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driven off road, driven by someone not stated on the rental agreement, if the driver fails to take the necessary precautions in case of any panel indications, if damage is caused intentionally or by negligence, damage caused by incorrect fuel, for any illegal purposes, for racing or speed testing, if badly used and/or in violation of the Cyprus Traffic Law and this Terms and Conditions.
4. Additional equipment, services charges and fees:
4.1. Incident Administration Fee (IAF):
In case of an accident due to the Renter’s liability, Renter has the obligation to pay a non-refundable fee of 40.00€ to cover administration expenses.
4.2. Additional fees, equipment and services:
- Drivers over 70 years old: 7.00 € per day for all car groups.
- Drivers under 25 years old: 7.00 € per day for all car groups.
- Additional Driver fee: 5.00 € per day
- Out of office hours fee: 20.00 € per route applies for deliveries and collections.
- Out of town fee: Free of charge within Limassol city limits. For delivery or collection from any other locations a fee of 35.00€ applies each way.
- One-way fee: If the vehicle is to be returned to a different from the initial location, a charge of 35 € will apply.
- Airport Service Fee - 50 € each way.
- Baby Seats / Child booster: 5.00 € per day.
- Global Positioning System (G.P.S): 10.00 € per day.

For more than 15 DAYS of rentals, special prices can be given.
All extras requested during the time of pick up are payable at the rental desks and cash payment is acceptable.
5. Fuel Policy
The vehicles are delivered with sufficient fuel. It's a driver's obligation to refill the fuel according to its needs.
Fuel level will be marked on pick up and noted on the agreement to avoid any fuel charges.
6. Deliveries /Collections/ Extensions
6.1. A rental period is usually calculated and charged based on a 24-hour time cycle. The Renter agrees to return the vehicle to the place and time shown on the rental agreement with its key and all the equipment in good condition. Additional charges will be levied by the Company if the vehicle is not returned at the agreed place and time.
6.2. All vehicles must be picked up or dropped off in the agreed locations within 2-hour time frame from the time stated in the rental agreement. An additional day to your rental will be added to your invoice if the time frame is breached.
6.3. Delivery and collection during opening hours within the city limits of Limassol and Limassol port are free of charge. For any other delivery or collection locations or out of office hours additional fee applies (see chapter 4)
6.4. For any extension on the rental period, please contact us via email at least 48 hours before the time/day of drop off. Extension is possible depending on availability. No extension is guaranteed. For any additional days to the agreement and to avoid any disputes, you shall obtain a new written company agreement and pre-pay for the extended period.
7. Cancellation Policy and Refunds
7.1. Cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to the rental date: Full refund.
7.2. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the rental date and time: no refund will be applied. However, You can still change the date and time of your pick-up, with vehicle of the same group. If vehicle with lower daily rate is chosen or is the only available option, no refund will be applied.
7.3.. There is no refund for any unused days of rental or early drop offs.
7.4. “No show”: No refund will be applied. Last minute cancellation at the rental desk would be counted as a 'No Show' and is non-refundable.
7.5. If you arrive late at the rental counter without prior notice of any change in your travel plans, your rental would be counted as a 'No Show'. The Company holds the right of cancelling your booking upon late pick-up, at its sole discretion, due to heavy demand of cars at the rental desk. The Company is not to be held liable for any cancellation and "No Show" caused due to your unavailability at the rental desk.
To avoid the 'No Show' situation, you should request the Company to hold your reserved car by informing of any changes in your travel plans. It is advisable that you provide your Flight details at the time of booking so that the Company can update themselves of your arrival timings in case of any delay.
7.6. The Company reserves the right to refuse a car to any customer who fails to arrive on time without prior notice, without all necessary documentation and/or a credit card with enough funds. In such a case, unless the rental has been cancelled in advance, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.
All cancellations should be made via email.
Note: If you have fully paid by credit card in advance and you wish to cancel your booking within the time limits as above stated, then the difference of the amount will be refunded to your credit card.
8. Security Deposit Policy
8.1. A security deposit of 250€ will be blocked (not debited) on your credit card at pick-up time. The security deposit will be used for extra charges if any (e.g. fuel missing at return, lost or damaged key, lost or damaged equipment, additional cleaning etc.)
8.2. If you have prepaid your rental with credit card, the deposit amount can be paid at the rental desks and cash payment is acceptable.
8.3. A valid Credit Card, under the name of the Renter must be presented for a pre-authorization damage deposit at the rental desk upon vehicle's pick up. The Company shall not be responsible for any bank charges that might occur from any deposit or any other charges.
8.4. On drop-of, the vehicle will be inspected and if no damages or losses are identified, the security deposit will be fully refunded.
8.5. The Renter must inspect the Vehicle and sign the Vehicle Condition Report before the start of the Rental Period. If fail to do so, and/or is not provided with a copy of the Vehicle Condition Report, and/or identifies any additional damage or loss not listed in the Vehicle Condition Report, must inform the Company and submit clear, time stamped photographs of such damage to the Company before the rental begins. Failure to comply with this may result in the renter being liable to a Condition Report Charge.
8.6. Smoking in the rented vehicle is not allowed. Smoking in a car with a person under 16 years present is prohibited by Law and a fine is imposed for anyone who does not comply. Each vehicle will be confirmed “smoke-free” upon delivery and it will be inspected upon its return. If the vehicle needs to be cleaned of smoke odour and/or residue, a penalty of 150.00€ will be applied and will be deducted from the security deposit.
8.7. Pets are allowed to ride in the vehicles with no additional fees. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by the pet. Vehicles should be returned clean and free of pet hair and/or odour. A penalty of 150.00€ will be applied and will be deducted from the security deposit if determined that the vehicle needs to be cleaned inside and/or out caused due the pet ride.
Be sure to inform the reservation agent that your pet will be joining you.
8.8. Additional charges and/or penalty will be levied by the Company if determined that the vehicle needs to be cleaned inside and out.

9. Use of the vehicle and responsibilities of the Renter:
9.1. Vehicles must only be driven on asphalt roads. Restrictions and/or additional charges may apply for visiting remote areas such as the off roads of Troodos Mountain, Akamas National Park and etc. Please consult our representatives in case you wish to visit such an area.
9.2. Our protection packages provide cover for the rented car and its driver(s) only within the boundaries of the Republic of Cyprus. We do not recommend our vehicles being taken to the northern part of the Republic of Cyprus, currently under Turkish military occupation. It is possible to purchase additional insurance on arrival at the border, however all previous insurance and protection packages purchased on the territory of the Republic of Cyprus or provided by the company becomes invalid after crossing the border. In the event of an incident or accident, the company will not be obligated to provide any assistance. If you still wish to cross the border, you will need to sign a DECLARATION OF FULL RESPONSIBILITY. In this way you agree and will be liable for all costs including, but not limited to, the total value of the rented vehicle, any damage caused to the rented vehicle by your actions and/or claims by third parties that may arise in the event of an accident or accident.
9.3. Only those drivers listed on the rental agreement may drive the vehicle, and the vehicle may not be used for a paid carriage of passengers. Failure to adhere to these conditions will void the insurance and the renter will be responsible for the full market value of the vehicle.
9.4. It is an offence to drive a vehicle when under the influence of alcoholic drinks and/or other narcotic substances and a fine is imposed for anyone who does not comply. The company reserves the right to deny renting a vehicle to persons suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
9.5. The renter agrees to return the vehicle clean and tidy inside and out as was received at the start of the Rental Period, and must remove any debris, rubbish and any of the Renter's personal items from the vehicle. Personal items left in the Vehicle are left at the Renter's own risk and loss and damage to such items will not be covered by the Insurance.
9.6. The Renter is fully responsible for any cost of fines, parking tickets or any other infringement regarded with the LAW during the car rental agreement. If the Renter incurs a violation during the rental agreement, the Company will proceed to billing the Renter for fines associated with the violations. In addition to any violation fees you will also be charged a service fee of €40.00 per violation, payable to the third party. These will be billed directly to the Credit Card used for the rental transaction. Charges will appear as a separate line item on your credit card or bank statement.
9.7. The Renter hereby authorizes the Company, acting in the limited capacity of authorized payment collection agent of the Owner and Insurer, to collect any amounts for which the Renter is liable under these Terms by charging a credit card, the details of which have been provided to the Company by the Renter. This may occur for example, in circumstances where the Damage Deposit has already been returned, or where the Renter's liability exceeds the value of the Damage Deposit. The company will inform the Renter by email on request of the reason for any charges that are collected in this manner.
9.8. In a situation of mechanical difficulties or vehicle breakdown, the Renter must call the Company immediately. In the event of an accident, the Renter must contact the Company immediately of the incident taking place. If another vehicle is involved, the Police must also be called before either vehicle is moved.
The Renter further agrees to take all necessary steps to protect the Interests of the Company and Its Insurance Company in case of accident during the validation of this Rental Contract, and in particular:
a) to report to the Company and to the Police Immediately any accident, theft, fire or any other damage occur to the car and/or its equipment;
b) to Include In the report the circumstances, date and place of the incident, the registration number of the other(s) vehicle(s) involved, the name, address and telephone No.of the other vehicle’s driver, the details of the other vehicle Insurance Company and the policy number.
c) to attach to such report any available police report;
d) In no event to discuss liability, deal or settle with parties relative to the accident. Any Infraction of the above excludes customer from any Insurance coverage.
10. Violation and Termination of the Rental Agreement:
Certain uses of the car and other acts you or a driver may do, or fail to do, will violate this agreement. A VIOLATION OF THE AGREEMENT WILL AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATE THE RENTAL AGREEMENT AND VOIDS ALL LIABILITY PROTECTION AND ANY OPTIONAL SERVICES THAT YOU HAVE ACCEPTED. IT ALSO MAKES YOU LIABLE INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED FOR ALL PENALTIES, FINES, FORFEITURES, LIENS AND RECOVERY AND STORAGE COSTS, INCLUDING ALL RELATED LEGAL EXPENSES, FEES AND COSTS.
It is a violation of the agreement if:
A. The Renter uses or permit the car to be used:
1) by anyone other than an authorized driver;
2) to carry passengers or property for hire;
3) to tow or push anything;
4) to be operated in a test, race or contest or on unpaved roads;
5) while the driver is under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance;
6) for conduct that could properly be charged as a felony or misdemeanor, including the transportation of a controlled substance or contraband;
7) recklessly or while overloaded;
8) to be driven in the northern part of the Republic of Cyprus, currently under Turkish Forces occupation, without signed Declaration of Full Responsibility.
B. The Renter or the authorized additional driver:
1) intentionally or with willful disregard provide false personal information, use of fake or stolen identity documents, use of fake or stolen credit card;
2) Fail to promptly report any damage or loss of the car when it occurs or when you learn of it and provide us with a written accident/incident report or fail to cooperate fully with our investigation;
3) Leave the car and/or fail to remove the keys or close and lock all doors, all windows and the trunk and the car is stolen or vandalized;
4) Intentionally or with willful disregard cause or allow damage to the car,
5) Return the car after hours and/or the car is damaged, stolen or vandalized.
11. Vehicle Categories and Model
The images listed in the Company fleet catalog, or displayed on the website/voucher, or shown at any marketing material, are for guidance only and may be substituted with a similar vehicle in the event of replacement needed.
The indication "similar" refers to the transmission, the number of doors, the number of passengers and/or luggage space and NOT to the car make and/or model.
All the reservations are made by category (groups) and NOT by car make or model.
The categories, the vehicles, the daily rates and any additional charges are subject to modification at any time and/or at our sole discretion and no reference may be made to other companies with similar activity.
You may request a different vehicle category at the rental desk, however the Company holds the right to decline any last minute rental changes or modification, based on the availability of such cars. Extra charges may be incurred and must be paid at the rental desk, if the rental change request is accepted by the Company.

12. SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES
For any dispute regarding this rental agreement so far as permitted to Cyprus Law, if the Renter is an individual the court will be chosen according to the local law, whereas if the Renter is not an individual the court will be chosen exclusively according to the place where the Company has his registration office.
